Continuing my quest for the perfect Unwin Books set (the first 3-volume paperback edition) of The Lord of the Rings… These are quite nice, and appear unread. The first hobbit film focuses more on the characters of the hobbit, so I would give that one a individual score of 3/5 hobbit desolation of Smaug is probably the best one of the hobbit films it has more character development as the main hobbits look for this dragon, the film is a vast improvement on the first hobbit film so I give that one a individual score of 4/5.

Once you've enjoyed The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings extended editions in stunning high-definition quality, you can continue your journey into J. I had wondered about a box-set for the 2022 editions, but think that it was not produced because there is no equivalent-sized Hobbit for the set of books. The majestic forerunner of The Lord of the Rings saga, this stunning slipcased edition of The Silmarillion is adorned by J. Lee’s original illustrations have been reproduced to the artist’s exacting standards, in a scale and quality never seen before, and have been augmented by several entirely new images, including enchanting endpapers depicting the One Ring long before it came into Frodo’s possession, three frontispieces, two revised versions of existing illustrations, a new image titled ‘The Grey Havens’ and an exclusive giclée print.NOTE* I feel I should explain myself for the lack of posts on this blog for over a month, but any reason would hardly be sufficient. As five great armies go to war, Bilbo fights for his life, and the races of Dwarves, Elves, and Men must unite or be destroyed. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012): Follow Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), a Hobbit who - along with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian Mckellen) and 13 Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) - is swept into an epic and treacherous quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002): In the middle chapter of this historic movie trilogy, the Fellowship is broken, but its quest to destroy the One Ring continues.
