The book was adapted as a German documentary film, Chariots of the Gods, produced by Terra-Filmkunst. The film was released in 1970 in West Germany and first appeared in the United States the following year. Rather, the prose is so stilted, the editing so horrible, the sentences so run-on, it was hard to plod through.
