Got an old bottle interlude written on the side so maybe what I'm going to say will be different experience for the wearer of the new ones. This is absolutely not something you should wear heavily in a formal setting, or even in many semi-formal/office settings, as some of the leather/smoke/spice notes can be quite strong. Sometimes a spritz in the evening after a long day of work can also have a beautifully soothing effect. Conversely, due to the sharpness of Journey Man, this is not certain, because the allspice is there but not very sharp.

I don’t know how Amouge manages to make some of the most beautiful bottles I’ve ever seen in a brand and make their fragrances damn near unwearable. Spectacular on a technical level, but I’m not sure I like — or trust — Interlude enough to ever purchase it again. I really dislike this form of fragrance and i bought it blindly to experiment around with more oriental scents. It feels more appropriate for older wearers in general, as it has a mature, sophisticated vibe that I can't see men below 30 sporting too well.An incessant duel of spices and balsams, Interlude Man is a sublime display of the harmony that warms a heart free of its inner turmoil. Anyway my perception discovers the first minutes a sweet smoky slightly fresh note which is not hiding but literally jumps out of all corners and edges and roars: HERE I AM, I AM ABOUT EUCH.

Extremely important, especially at this time when one is led by the ego, exposed to external influences in a negative sense etc. Midway through I get a dominant peppery oregano which resemble cloves, that gives a spicy/sweet, warm, woodsy foundation - on me, the clove is King. I didn’t feel the massive performance everyone is talking about, it is not weak but not nuclear like many people say. I wanted to show you how complex and spiritual a production can be from beginning to end, even if it is mass produced.I can however appreciate how this could and would possibly be a scent which others at a distance could appreciate on you, but even then it would be at the cost of feeling like you want to sneeze all day yourself.

is't unique and doesn't seem other fragrance, It's enough strong in sillage (not a monster) adn has a gooh persistence, For sure a man's fragnrance, i cant see these on a woman.

This just give me a throwback to my childhood and reminds me of an pine resin after a heavy rain into a woody forest. Dusty and deep, with an intricate, labyrinthian sense of connection, Interlude's incense and resins blend in an harmonious, complex whole. The more I wear it, the more the cedar forest takes on slighlty powdery oakmoss notes, but overall, it's a melange of spicy forest with sap/resin and rich bark notes. The oregano throws a curveball and gives an otherwise comforting incense a strange off kilter feeling.
