Jumping between timelines is one of my favourite writing styles so I loved that this book was covering multiple timelines at the same time, before they came together at the end. I felt for Lili’s character from the beginning and just wanted her to figure out who she was and what traumatic event brought on her amnesia. This contemporary romance is nothing like one I’ve read before, it’s got dark twisty piece with a little mystery but with really lovely bright happy moments and in the end I was completely satisfied with how everything needed up. I read this cover to cover in half a day – it broke me and then healed me and I cried happy tears at the end (HEA). This story was unputdownable, and absolutely wrecked me… an incredibly moving and often poignant story with truly authentic characters and a perfect ending.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Never Forget You and I think that if you like to feel like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster, you will too.

An emotional and heart breaking read that will have you rooting for the characters from the first page. Watching Lili and Ben meet at the beginning of the story made it feel like this was going to be a cutesy, happy romance story that takes place over several years, with the happy couple being separated, for whatever reason, and then they eventually reunite. But life is about to take them in different directions, and so they agree to meet next July, in the beautiful hidden garden where they first laid eyes on each other. Ben is the first person to recognise her and tries to help her the best he can without telling her he knows her name.In particular the way the coercive and controlling behaviour is presented is very subtle but very realistic. Ben, meanwhile, is dealing with his own issues and yet is so kind and caring, and so wonderful in how he tries to help Alice. But Ben, I love him such a sweet caring man the only thing I could of wanted more was a like 2 year later epilogue. i really liked lili and ben as characters; they were strong and i enjoyed reading their development and their growth as individuals. And I’ve also read stories that were heartbreaking in a way that you can’t fathom how things can possibly work out for the character(s).

I experienced goosebumps so frequently when I was reading this book and I don’t think it was because of the weather. I didn’t totally agree with her decision making towards the end of the story, but I think her heart was in the right place and she more than redeemed herself. Yet even though we are able to hear from Lili directly she still doesn’t have a firm grasp on who she is and can be, however as the reader discovers this is through no fault of her own and instead is the consequence of much more sinister reasons. I’ve read many books with dual timelines where I’ve spent more minutes than I care to admit trying to piece everything together before the ending.I’ve got a workout done and nowI can spend all of the remainder of the day, sat on my backside, reading and having cwtches with my dogs. They make the most of the time that they have together and arrange to meet up a year later, but it never happens.
