Update July 2012 - the machine is still going strong but I have just replaced the tines (prongs) for the first time and it is raking out moss just like new. Just move the two handles next to the front wheels; the scarifier itself, at just over 10kg, makes it easy to lift up and down using the two handles. Having not tried any other lawn rake / scarifier, I can't comment how good this is in comparison to the more expensive ones.
