It’s the perfect color for my light brunette roots, but I also sometimes use the darker shade around my hair line to give my hair a little bit of depth! However it is a shame this is a bit on the pricier side for such a small amount and so I would be interested to see how long this lasted it you were using it regularly in-between colouring.

also great to use whilst growing out roots till you decide which colour to choose with regular colourants. Someone did point out that it’s a very handy product for wig wearers to run around the wig/hair line, but it’s a more patient person than me who can be bothered to be so exact about grey coverage. This root-cover-up powder is meant to cover dark roots or regrowth at the part or scalp line and it allows you to extend your highlights back towards your scalp. The darker shade for me gave me the best coverage on my lighter roots, as I tend to dye my hair darker than my true hair colour anyway. Coloring my hair is not really a secret, but how I keep my pesky grey hairs under control between my hair appointments with my stylist was, until today. This would have been a god send for me when I used to have blonde highlights, my dark roots grow in at lightening speed.

I am looking for something like this as my greys are popping up every 2-3 weeks now and I cannot get my hair coloured that often! It’s a breeze to apply and it allows me to not have to visit my salon as often, which is always a nice treat on the budget! This is a trick I learned from a very popular hair stylist who works with a group of sisters we are ALL following. I also recommend using a large, well lit mirror when applying this, as it can be a little tricky trying to avoid getting it on the scalp area when you are doing this for the first time. There is a heck of a lot of packaging here for two tiny bricks of powder – it looks exactly like an Illamasqua palette (but doesn’t have the weight in the feel) and who has time to pick out each shade or even blend them to something that’s an exact match?New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . A few months ago I reviewed the L'Oreal Magic Retouch Root Spray, so I thought it would be good to compare this with a powder version too. At first I did find this awkward to apply to the root area round the back of my head as it's hard to see where your applying it, so if you can, get someone to help you with the back part. So even though this product sample clearly isn’t my shade, I do at least, have some greys to try it out on.
