Disappointed by its lack of absorbency, she set about designing her own Egyptian cotton range, to be irresistibly soft, fluffy and, of course, super absorbent. These towels offer consistent, reliable performance and a wonderful feel; they are soft and absorbent without being too heavy. As such, you will find them to be thinner, lighter and not as good at holding large quantities of water.

Shake towels before and after washing; this opens up the fibres slightly to allow the detergent to sink in, and helps to promote drying . Super-plush styles are woven from Egyptian fibres that combine a pleasingly heavy finish with fluffiness. GSM Egyptian cotton towels are far more superior, durable and fade less than ordinary poly cotton towels. Since introducing our very first collection we've added silky-soft bedding, award-winning natural wax scented candles, sumptuous throws and luxury spa-inspired bath robes. A low GSM bath towel will be lightweight, coarse, and less absorbent; using this type of towel is an unpleasant experience and not effective for drying off.

I tested this towel straight from the shower for a standard dry-off and was really pleased with how well towels absorbed the water. However, if you don't have the budget for these more expensive towels, then lower GSM ranges of towels will still do the job perfectly well. High levels of humidity in this area create a unique environment that is perfect for growing cotton.

Choices of towel material range from Egyptian, Supima and Turkish cottons, to cotton polyester mixes and pure synthetic blends, and these can vary widely in feel and performance. To ensure its quality and preserve the strength of its long fibers, all Giza cotton is picked by hand rather than being machine harvested. Our Light Cotton towels are made from a unique combination that has the quick-drying properties of polyester but the absorbency and softness of cotton. Instead, things like kitchen towels, gym towels and beach towels will usually be roughly 350GSM regardless of quality.
