Follow the manufacturer's guidelines on the container at all times, following any special precautions. The setting time is fast, but will allow adequate working life for most envisaged applications using hot and cold pressing techniques. Taking the product back to it's original glory, Ureka have reformulated Cascamite back to its former glory. It is now ready for use and will remain usable for 1 hour at 30°c, 4 hours at 20°c, 8 hours at 10°c.

PVA adhesives, such as Woodstikk® D3 PVA, are water based adhesives based on Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVA).This new Cascamite adhesive formulation is not the same product as the Aerolite UP4145, but rather our own new and improved version of Cascamite. To ensure that a consistent glue mix with the correct properties is obtained, mixing by weight is strongly recommended.

As they are one component, meaning no mixing required, and water based, so relatively safe to use, PVA wood adhesives. Ureka’s PVA’s include Woodstikk D3 PVA Wood Glue (a D3 grade woodworking adhesive) and Woodstikk D4 PVA Wood Adhesive (a higher water resistant D4 grade woodworking adhesive).PVA’s have shorter shelf lives so will lose their ability to give a good bond the older they become. It is especially suitable for joinery, cabinetwork and assembly gluing, particularly when small amounts of glue mix are needed, or when demand is such that the use of a liquid adhesive is uneconomic. Ensure the wood substrate is sound, smooth, level, clean, dry and free of any dust, dirt, wax, loose paint, incompatible curing compounds or fire retardant chemicals, fungicides, release agents, sealers, or any other foreign substances that might interfere with a good bond. These adhesives are commonly used in wood working application for veneering, laminating and joint bonding.

Woodstikk® One Shot is a one-component urea powder adhesive, which only requires mixing with water to make it ready for use. And if you use a D3 or D4 graded version which relates to the water resistance, they give a water resistance which is at least equal, and more often better, than One Shot. There are a number of differences between the two types of adhesive, even though they are both desigined for bonding wood and timber. By adding water to the stated mix ratio, an excellent adhesive is created which bonds wood exceptionally well. Please note: this is the brand new Ureka Cascamite formula, tried and tested, we can confirm that this version has been vastly improved and is as good as, if not better, than the original formula which was loved by many.

Cascamite – The original powdered resin wood glue with gap filling properties which ensures weather and water resistant joints every time. The powder system gives extremely good gap filling properties, ensuring rain does not enter the joint.
