Timescale to deal with your claim - for technical faults or repairs we use the services of the original manufacturer or nominated agent for inspection, testing and high quality guaranteed repairs. Leder Gris® is a waterproof wax for use in tough wet conditions it is a mixture of 70% wax and 30% oil. If you have Medium/ Wide feet - go up 1/2 size on your SHOE size (to allow for thicker socks with boots). When buffed strongly it will give a higher shine at the toe and heel, after repeated and successive use. To resolve your query efficiently we use a claim form and case / ticket system, complete the form, add all the details required, and we'll get straight on to sorting it out.

I took the leather and boots to the Pittards Tannery laboratory in Leeds and they quickly identified the problem - it was not the leather - but the leather treatment! The specialist oils in Leder-Gris® penetrate the surface of the leather to keep it supple, whilst the waxes remain on (or closer) to the surface to enhance water repellency. Some years ago I realised that in more extreme conditions a different type of bootcare was necessary to complement our existing Leder-Gris wax. We had noted that after 6 months the leather we were using in our gamekeeper boots was absorbing 14% - over twice as much.A brand new formula has been developed by recognised military boots brand Altberg, the Leder Gris wax is designed to be better than standard wax polishes.

After application, brush lightly with a buffing brush to ensure stitching and flex areas are fully coated. We regret to say that we are unable to change the address or postcode on a parcel once it has been despatched.

Slightly higher synthetic and oils content which is absorbed into the leather without over softening it.

The company was a PLC, and as the new millennium property boom began to get up a 'full head of steam' the land the tannery was on became 'apparently' worth more than the tannery itself, and so the last British Tannery making top quality water repellent (WR100) boot leather was shut down.If leather oils are not replaced, then boots will be more likely to show signs of flex cracking earlier.
