Description

With the H7 Plus CPU cooler, Cryorig relies on three 6mm thick heatpipes that connect the nickel plated copper bottom plate to the heatsink tower.

Once our H7 was installed and placed into the chassis, the thought that it was slightly off line was confirmed by this image where the cooler is now cocked ever so slightly right of the center. As an effective anti-vibration measure, four rubber dampeners are embedded in the 120mm fan at the corners.

The easiest way to do this is actually to flip the H7 cooler upside down and put the motherboard above it since the screw posts are secured from the rear. Only the front section of the cooler is designed this way, and it's done to remove disturbances and increase the air flow. That being said, if you follow Cryorig's advice and tighten by hand first, instead of trying to do everything while holding the cooler up-side down, it is not that difficult. That's also why Cryorig coolers like this CPU tower cooler H7 Quad Lumi look so great, especially with its LED lighting.

H7 plus also includes the X-Bar quick mount system, delivered to guarantee a quick and secure solution for both Intel and AMD platforms. Not only does it orient the flow through the fins correctly, but they definitely help take advantage of every drop of that 49 CFM the fan offers, allowing this smaller tower cooler to fit in places others won't. Color change, lighting effects and even Fan RPM and profile settings are all capable through CAM software and app. There is usually an option to add more heat pipes, or you could figure out how to use larger ones in some way, or even a vapor chamber if you are so inclined. In addition, the QF120 LED's housing has four additional ventilation slots, which further increase the performance of the fan.Even when using a motherboard like ours, with thermal armor standing very tall, we could have easily added a second fan to the H7, and still been able to keep it low enough not to increase the 145mm height of this design. While Cryorig's new cooler may look typical at first glance, under closer inspection, it's apparent there is much more to the cooler than originally perceived. Cryorig H7 offers an asymmetrical to the center of the cooler single tower heat sink with dimensions of 120(W) x 107(H) x 70(D) mm and featuring 40 x 0.

We have been around long enough to see many of the tricks used to boost the design of a tower cooler, but we have never seen anything along the lines of what Cryorig is offering here. In addition, the QF120's housing has four additional ventilation slots, which further increase the fan's performance. Please note that the APH Numeric Rating system is based off our proprietary guidelines in the Review Focus, and should not be compared to other sites. I was able to test the cooler on one of my systems and overall the cooling capabilities were somehow pretty average. Cryorig H7 is manufactured with a perfectly milled C1100 pure copper with silver nickel coating contact plate with dimensions of 40 x 45 mm holding in line the 3 x Ø6mm nickel coated copper heat pipes arranged according to the Convex-Align™ system.
