About this deal

input on the left ear cup which was nice since I still have plenty of devices that aren’t Bluetooth compatible. I don't know about competitors, but I do like knowing that if I spend a lot of money on some hardware like this, the company will stick around for years with free replacements when you need it. Out of the box, the Marshall Monitor II headphones exude a premium quality, unlike very few headphones I've ever handled. We’d have liked the soundstage to feel wider – they don’t exactly feel closed off, but some tracks demand more space to let the instrumentation ‘breathe’.

The unit was provided by sound calibration software company SoundID, but neither Marshall nor SoundID had any say in the direction or published content. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 6s, both mics allowed us to understand every word we recorded, but the wired mic was far clearer, with fewer audio artifacts than the built-in one.

That said, despite the plush padding and initial comfort, after a long period of wear we did begin to feel some uncomfortable pressure from the headband just above our temples. This means we hold to the highest industry standards for data protection and network security, and card data is safe with us.

With light, soft memory foam lining the earcups and underside of the headband, comfort levels are superb. Another slight drawback of the Monitor II is its so-so built-in microphone which has its fair share of distortion and volume issues - but a good microphone isn't why you'd purchase a pair of Marshall headphones. once we’re able with improved sound quality measurements, isolation performance plots, and standardized microphone demos. The app offers a number of presets based on musical genres, including Rock, Metal, Pop, Hip-Hop, Electronic, and Jazz, as well as Flat, which offers a totally flat frequency balance (as you may have guessed).

Smart Tech is all about convenience and fun and it is able to fit perfectly in your home and life, from switching.

This is where the most disruptive sounds usually are (like the rumble of a jet engine or low humming of a train) so being able to make those sounds less intrusive is a big deal.
