Light rays which are reflected by any surface can become polarised so polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. The UX II CIR-PL filter can be used with both digital and film cameras to combat surfaces that are known for creating glare which can result in a loss of image quality, increasing highlights while reducing colour and detail.
