About this deal

Bear, Squirrel and now Chicken make a new sound, a new beat, a new rhythm and they realise how perfect they all fit together.

i think this song could be about drug use 'sticking' can mean shooting up and holding up a stage coach could represent crimes someone commits to feed there addiction, hanging from a tree could be suicide, a metaphor for being conscious of your own demise "when we swing we hang past right and wrong" could mean that with that feeling of being 'close to death' you can kind of break the boundaries or go beyond trivial things like popular opinion thus not be affected by things happening around you like "soldiers fighting with the Cong".It was only today that it occurred to me that Mo's female voice is likely a stand-in for that a prepubescent boy, and the object of her hero worship is dead - having been hanged for stage coach robbery. This picture book has a catchy meter and cute illustrations, but I was disappointed with the message. They do everything together and the two of them seem to think that size doesn’t matter until one day it does.

with Tucker playing all of the instruments, a charming duet with Jonathan Richman of the Modern Lovers on “I’m Sticking With You,” iconic Velvets songs with instrumental support by Reed and original bassist-viola player John Cale, and the memorial ode “Andy,” a chant-like eulogy with liquid-jangle guitar named after the pop artist who produced, managed and mentored the Velvets from 1966 to 1968.You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. Of course 'sticking with you' may just be a sexual metaphor played out through the events of the day. I have to admit I’ve never given the lyrics a second thought, I have always just thought it was one of Lou’s poems and without much meaning, but I do like the interpretation here. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. It’s not only the lyrics that make this feel like a kids’ song: the melody – at least at the start – is a bit like a nursery rhyme and the piano accompaniment is as basic as you can get.
