Cara Hunter does an expert job of dropping teaser hints, all the while careful not to spoil anything, regarding her previous novels, so that if this is your first read by her you will be intrigued enough to check out the rest. Though Fawley was a little off his game in this book, he still was a really likable and capable character. A house fire in an upmarket area of North Oxford leads to the gruesome discovery of two dead children.

En resumen, un buen libro para sospechar de todos y de todo, para comerte la cabeza intentando adivinar los motivos para tanta maldad y una resolución final con todo cerrado y muy bien argumentado. Quizás en este caso el inicio es más pausado que en las anteriores entregas, después del prometedor comienzo, pero desde luego es una historia cargada de acción y una trama muy ágil que me he ventilado en pocos días. Slick and fast-paced with a wonderful humorous heart, No Way Out is an excellent addition to this author’s rapidly-growing oeuvre and a must-read for anyone who considers themselves a fan of crime fiction. His wife's contrasts are softer: beige-brown hair, pinkish cheeks, light-coloured eyes, probably hazel.There is no sign of the husband University professor, Michael Esmond, and efforts to locate him have proved fruitless. Even the arrogant, lazy git Quinn is easy to picture as he off loads tasks usually to the long suffering Baxter!

My favourite feedback is when readers tell me it's like getting the raw material of the case, so they can be detectives themselves. Anyway, now I’ve established that I’m a huge Hunter advocate, No Way Out deserves its own special mention. The series goes from strength of strength, with each subsequent book building on the foundations laid by the previous volumes.But despite everything that unfolds it's still hard to believe that a father could do this to his family and disappear without a trace. His brother, Phillip Esmond, is helping with enquires but Fawley suspects he may be hiding something. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
