About this deal

All these things made me feel the author himself didn't like this story and was not enjoying and respecting his own work, so I was surprised there's going to be a part 2. Chainsaw Man, Vol. 4". Also no one seems to mention this and I don't know why, but the thing with Denji and his father is messed up. Poor boy has gone through so much and he's only 16.

Archived from the original on December 26, 2020 . Retrieved July 8, 2020. paneling and framing did not have problems but weren't special either. I couldn't find many innovative angles and frames. I was very excited to start this manga because I'd heard the author is a genius for creating an innovative story with realistic characters.Chainsaw Man, vol. 10] (in Japanese). Shueisha. Archived from the original on January 3, 2021 . Retrieved November 24, 2020. Turned out my brain is so small. I couldn't find the genius of this manga. Neither did I find realistic characters.

I am glad the author, Tatsuki Fujimoto managed to bring these kinds of themes into a mainstream shonen manga! I mean...stuff like "If you want/love the guy, kill and/or tear out his heart", "If you like this girl, eat her up so she would always be with you" Holy cow, what's not to love here!!! i could barely keep the characters apart? who were all these people in the last two volumes especially? I can't believe it, Denji you are kinda, sorta the best right now!! my biggest problem with this manga. The dialogues were just poorly written. Very artificial and straight to the point, sometimes just retelling what I already knew. This way of "telling instead of showing" stoped me from getting close to the world or characters, almost felt like sitting in a classroom where everything is just being said and repeated in a stiff way without letting you to observe and learn for yourself. I could hear the author's voice in my head saying : Y hablando de Makima…

The amazing thing that I am recognizing with mangas is the ability to adapt. This ability makes each manga's storyline so unique and so incredibly special because EVERYTHING matters. The small glimpse of a door in an earlier chapter can turn into a traumatic event in later chapters because NOTHING is solidified. Volume 11 ends with chapter 97 which is the conclusion for part 1 (which again) is just the BEGINNING. Manga artists/authors have so much creative freedom and storytelling powers that it is insane to take any event that has occurred literally, there is simply too much deeper meanings underneath every line drawn in. I find that hauntingly beautiful, but the reader in me needs those facts laid out. This creates definitely a learning curve. Chainsaw Man, Vol. 8". Viz Media. Archived from the original on September 15, 2021 . Retrieved September 15, 2021. Makima turned out to be a brilliant villain and it was awesome to see a female antagonist in such an intimidating, intelligent and powerful role. Not many manga out there have pulled something like that off. In fact, not many stories in general have done a central female antagonist so well. Ressler, Karen (November 26, 2018). "Viz's Shonen Jump to Preview Chainsaw Man by Fire Punch's Fujimoto". Anime News Network. Archived from the original on March 4, 2021 . Retrieved September 14, 2019.The resolution of this story arc is surprisingly emotional and philosophical. It perfectly subverts the simplistic, comical and sometimes downright stupid origins of where the story first began. This bait and switch tactic was meticulously planned out by the author to pull the rug out from under the reader’s feet by steering the narrative into a much more serious direction and he did a good job pulling it off. The biggest loophole of Makima is that she wasn't able to recognize faces, but she can memorize scent. She knows the scent of the Chainsaw since chapter 1, which is why it was easy for her to get to Denji, but never did she pay attention to how Denji smells, which got her killed. a b Ressler, Karen (December 10, 2018).
