About this deal

And of course his bad behaviour is all HER fault because of stupid shit like the fact she doesn't want to talk to him. Well guess what Ryan? She has EVERY RIGHT to not want to talk to you, get over it you bitch.

And of course she has no clue he likes her, even though everyone knows, everyone tells her and he is so obviously acting like a 4-year-old boy who pulls a girl's hair because he wasn't taught how to express his feelings right. If he loved her as much as he claimed he did, he would actually give her a second chance or at least talk to her. You’re infuriating. And exasperating and moody. And shitty and stubborn. And kind. And funny. And clever and talented. And beautiful.” He pauses. “You’re so freaking beautiful, Becca.”

To the double doors to the left, there was a chance to escape the often bustling confines of Billberries, then it was decision time. You going up the hill? The big crescendo She would hate having to watch her little cousin and complain about it BUT when her boyfriend Charlie didn't want to watch/hang out with her while she had to do this, she would get angry at him. So yeah, douche move on both of them. And of course Ryan was over in his corner, making friends with her little cousin and generally being adorable about it. Another clueless point for Becca. He is such a piece of shit. I am sorry, I am way past high school times when you could be fascinated by this kind of people because you don't know better. For most of the story, I felt as one with Becca going through recovery. Her character development was so satisfying to me because we were going through the same thing. I loved seeing survivors making it through.

Then there was the lure of something which gripped us all from time to time. What night out isn’t complete with the Baywatch theme music, a Grease mega mix or shaking your tail feather to the Blues Brothers? Of course, we’re talking about Reflex in Church Street (now Popworld).Whatever its guise, those downstairs toilets were also prone to someone coming tumbling down. Third step - or the final one

She would ignore Ryan for most of the book. He really did try and be nice to her. So yes, in the beginning I was #teambecca for what he did to her in freshman year BUT my god, child...GET OVER IT. He really seemed like he felt sorry about how he treated her and was making an effort to make nice with her and every time she would put up walls and yell at him (most of the time uncalled for). I myself am 22 years old, so I don't feel like this realistically happens every five minutes. Everyone rolls their eyes sometimes but the constant eye rolls in this book honestly irritates my soul. Maybe you forgive them. Maybe you’re friends with them. But the past stays behind you – especially in recovery. That’s usually the only time moving forward is bearable.Becca has lived her entire life next Ryan. Their moms are best friends and they used to be inseparable. Writing a book about the development of characters after a very traumatic event happens to the MC and then doing a four year time skip when said characters actually start to discuss their issues is a TOTAL COP OUT.
