About this deal

It’s 20mm in diameter with 2 torx screws to hold it down. The mod can hold a 24.5mm tank without protruding over the side. Applicable Products: DRAG BABY / FIND TRIO / VINCI / VINCI R / VINCI X / VINCI AIR / DRAG S / DRAG X / NAVI / PnP 22 & 20 The power and adjustment buttons are round with a shiny silver accent ring. They all feel good and work nicely. One interesting thing I noticed is that there’s an indent on the left side of the adjustment buttons. This makes the buttons look like their off center even though they’re not. I’m not sure why Voopoo did this as it serves no functional purpose and makes the adjustment buttons look weird. So this section of the review will be very interesting. Will the Coil/Pod system perform better on this mod? Maybe this time the coils I have are better quality… In fact the overall shape of the DRAG 3 is pretty much the same as DRAG MAX with an 510 connection differing between the 2.

The Connection plate is 20mm (but the mod can comfortably fit a 26mm tank). It is held down by 2 screws, which I know, a few people will questions it’s durability for the long term. The drip tip is wide bore and removable. The tank will hold up to 5.5ml of ejuice and is bottom filled through a port on the bottom of the tank. The port is deep and so is the rubber bung that plugs it. Coils push into the bottom of the tank. If building is your style, the PnP is a great addition to utilise with your PnP Pod tank to get your coil to your preferred setting, although there is such a wide range already available within the PnP series there isn’t much requirement to go down this route unless determined. It’s completely round and measures at 11mm in diameter, it is raised by 2mm and indented in the middle, which comforts your thumb/finger brilliantly.Depending on the coil that you use you can go from a direct lung draw with the airflow open, down to a restricted lung hit with the airflow nearly closed up. With the wide bore of the drip tip and the large size of this pod tank, the TPP Tank will work best with DL coils for DL vaping. If you want a MTL vape you’re better off with the MTL PnP tank.

it has an adjustable airflow ring, which is sufficiently open for a nice airy DTL draw, but when it’s fully shut off it still lets in a bit too much airflow to provide a true MTL experience (which is OK because it wasn’t designed for MTL. TPP Pod Tank (Pod Section) On single battery mods it isn’t usually that much of a problem because you only have 1 spring loaded battery connection pressing against it. However on a Dual battery mod, you now double that resistance. The biggest thing it has to offer is the TPP pod tank, but I massively prefer the PnP range, however that is obviously subject to opinion VM6 coils: Argus GT, Drag S, Drag X, Drag X PnP-X, Drag S PnP-X, Drag Max, Musket Kit, Argus X, Argus Pro, Drag Mini Refresh, and Drag 2 Refresh kits. Priming' is essential to avoid a vile burnt taste and ruined coils. For more information see our blog about priming coils.Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best flavour but it’s definitely impressive for 15w below recommended. The cloud production is medium. To give it the benefit of doubt, I put my dual coiled HellVape Dead Rabbit V2 RTA on to the mode, set it to the same power output I usually use and ‘had a go’. The Drag 3 uses the Gene.Fan 2.0 chipset which was first used in the Drag Max. This chip allows the Drag 3 to fire from 5-177W and brings Smart mode, RBA (standard Wattage) mode, and TC modes. From then on VooPoo has brought out a series of mods, pod mods and kits that were based on the PnP Pod Tank.

The Drag 3 marks Voopoo’s first return to a dual battery 510 mod since the Argus GT of last year. It takes two 18650 batteries and uses the Gene.Fan 2.0 chipset to fire at up to 177W. The kit comes with the TPP Tank and a 510 adapter that allows it to be used on the Drag 3 and any other mod with a 510 connection. This TPP Tank is also compatible with previous Voopoo pod mods like the Argus, Argus Pro, Argus X, Drag Max, Drag X & Drag S. Likewise, the 510 adapter allows the Drag 3 to be used with all PnP tanks.Although it is great and I could definitely tell a difference…. I’m not quite sure I like the premise. Either way, to give the coils the best chance possible, I’m also using a different flavour. I’m going at both coils with the Rochford Project Lemon Tart which is mixed at 70VG/30PG and I’ve added a nicotine shot. TPP-DM1 0.15ohm coil Voopoo says that these coils have a larger surface area inside the coil and also heat up faster. The 0.15ohm coil is supposed to be used from 60-80W and Voopoo says that it’s best from 65-75W. At 65W I get warm vapor and a good amount of flavor but it feels like it can be better. Increasing the wattage to 70W makes the vapor a little warmer, more to my liking, and the flavor gets better too. Vaping at 75-80W the vapor is hot and the flavor is not that much better than it is at 70W. My preferred wattage for this coil is 70W because you get the best flavor from the coil and the vapor is nice and warm.

All I can say is, after the 2-3 weeks that I have been using the DRAG 3 it’s no different from when I started, it’s still strong and not showing any weakness. The ‘+’/’-‘ buttons are located under the screen towards the bottom of the mod. They are 5mm in diameter and are raised by about 1.5mm with the ‘+’ button located above the ‘-‘ button. Are you as excited as me yet? Lets take a look at the DRAG 3… What To Expect From The VooPoo DRAG 3 We have also included a complete list of the kits and tanks that each coil is compatible with below.
