I wouldn’t say that the bag is waterproof, perhaps weather resistant is more appropriate, and you would need to fully pull the flaps down to prevent problems in a torrential downpour. The internal dimensions – 16 x 4 x 12″– are large enough to accommodate a larger camera system, like a Fuji X-Series and the shoulder strap makes it all pretty comfy too. The strong velcro on the flap is the most common 'dislike' mentioned by photographers about the F-5XB, and I’d have to agree. The amount of velcro is overkill for the size and use of the flap.
