About this deal

Company takes no responsibility for any loss including but not limited to loss of data, financial loss, or personal loss) that might arise from the use of, or the inability to use, the manual library or the specified software.

Pros: 8 channels (2 of them stereo), mutes, panning, 2 aux sends, separate phones and main outs, power for 4 Volcas, same size as Volca. Pros: 8 channels (2 of them stereo), mutes, panning, 2 aux sends, separate phones and main outs, power for 8 Volcas, battery powered, same size as VolcaThe volca mix can power up to 3 volca units with DC output connectors, and features built-in stereo speakers that deliver SPL levels that are even better than the speakers on previous volca units. Features Ground loop hum can sound like a faint train horn, a buzz, or slowly alternating random tones. It can occur any time multiple pieces of electronic music gear are connected by electrically conductive cables. All types of conductive cables can contribute to ground loop hum, including power, audio, MIDI, sync and USB. The cables do not generate noise. But they provide a pathway for different ground (or neutral) voltages to interact, resulting in audible noise being generated within one or more pieces of gear. USB cables tend to be among the worst offenders. Daisy chain power cables can also allow ground loop hum to occur. Contents of owner’s manuals and content as found on korg.com may differ. Information on korg.com may be updated as necessary based on changes to the product specification, operating system, included contents, and so on. Additionally, owner’s manuals may be updated to reflect these and other changes with updated production of the product. There are RCA stereo line outs tied to a master volume control with LED VU meter plus a headphone out. You get built-in speakers, which Korg claims “deliver SPL levels that are even greater than the built-in speakers on previous units”, although, like those, these don’t really do the unit that much justice and really, what you should do is connect it up to your own external monitors.

The Mixer of the Volca Mixer is straightforward. Connect your external Volca’s audio output to the Volca Mix using the included 1/8-inch TRS cable. Please note that input 3/4 is stereo. If your Volca appears to be malfunctioning or acting strangely, you can reflash the panel processor, which is done by holding REC and MEM while starting the Volca. (Thanks to Pajen for the tip!) Speakers are also built-in for excellent portability. The stereo speakers are placed at both sides of the front, and while compact, deliver SPL levels that are even greater than the built-in speakers on previous volca units. Powerful effects and control This library does not provide owner’s manuals and product information for all of the products sold by the Company. Owner’s manuals or product information may not be available for all products indefinitely or at all, and may be permanently discontinued at the Company’s discretion.

Personally, we’d have loved the inclusion of a MIDI thru hub, allowing several Volcas to be chained from a single MIDI or USB input. This would have driven the price up, but many would be happy to pay more for a slightly more pro-spec’d version which does more to integrate the Volcas into a wider setup.

For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. Pros: small, 6 stereo inputs, per channel FX and EQ, global compression, MIDI sync, records onto microSD cardOtherwise, the on-board speakers are crappy, but I didn't expect them to be much. I did experience some hiss using the RCA line outs to out-board gear and speakers.

If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered Let’s talk positives first. While it’s not sexy, power is the Mix’s most useful feature. Unlike the rest of the range, the mixer ships with its own power supply - it can’t run on battery power - as well as a trio of cables that allow other Volcas to be hooked up to its three front panel outputs. Being able to power three instruments from a single hub is really useful. The channel volumes use vertical faders that allow precise control. The gain can be boosted to adjust the mix balance, and mute buttons are also provided. Each channel is also equipped with a LO/HI CUT filter that lets you control the low and high frequency ranges with a single knob. The pristine, natural-sounding filters that you expect from analog gear give you complete control over the character of your sound.See below for a few DIY hardware modifications you can make on Volcas. Elsewhere in this guide are links to MIDI-out mods for all Volcas. Beats: Snare Mod A Volca power adapter should be 9 volts DC, center positive, with a 4.75 mm x 1.7 mm barrel plug per the EIAJ-03 standard. The KVgear PA-2pro and Korg KA-350 and 9V600MACPP are among the few power adapters that meet all of these requirements. However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. I used a minikaosspad 2 for external effects with the signal from the 'Send Out' and returning through the 'Aux In'. It worked well, but it didn't really get wet enough for my tastes. As well as including volume faders and filters, the Volca Mix also boasts powerful built-in effects. The master effects are powered by the all-analog circuit, including an expander, compressor and side-chain effects. The expander is ideal for broadening a mono source, giving it an immersive stereo sound image for added depth. The dynamic range compressor is ideal for compressing the top-end frequency response, according to low-end. A side-chain effect is also included, which you can use to give your sounds a sense of added movement, ideal for dance music and EDM. One of the most convenient features of the Volca Mix is the inclusion of stereo speakers. The integrated speakers are located on the left and the right of the unit, delivering greater SPL levels than found on previous Volca units. Expandable connectivity
