But the section that almost ended this build for me was the front-most side. On one end, it uses two clips to continue the wrap. On the other end, you have to thread an angled axle into a connector without seeing and without breaking the other side of the boat. In my attempts, I managed to disconnect the support that was supposed to anchor the side down. There are only four studs so it didn’t have a great grip. However, there is one important exception to this age rating. Recently, Playmobil has launched a collection called 1-2-3, which caters for children under the age of 4. It features colourful, safe toys, with chunky designs that aren't based around small parts or jagged edges. So, if your kids adore the storyline and want to relive it for themselves, it's a good collection to browse. While Lego's offerings are all about creativity and engineering, Playmobil's sets come fully formed, with much less practical work required to get them up and running.Moving away from the building experience, I figured that there are at least some play-features. The idea of an expert-level LEGO fishing boat is a good one. This fan-created design manages to put in some real knowledge about a fishing boat and things you’d find on it. The Playmobil Pony Farm – Playmobil caters really well for kids who love the countryside, and this Farm set is a great base for a rural collection. Part of the Country collection, it features three pony figurines, a hayloft, an adaptable fence, and playpen for the ponies to strut their stuff.When I build something, I’m not too concerned about having the most secure connections. As long as it looks good on display, it’s good enough for me. And this is also what I would expect from most fan-designed models. However, if LEGO is going to put their name on a model, I expect to see the strong fundamentals they incorporate in nearly every set they sell. Unfortunately, this model has issues. Has two bases (slots), one in the front and one in the middle. The middle is for a seat or for the mast. The front can be use as is to hold any of your creations, or you can use the front_slot part for holding a playmobil cannon if you have. Beginning with the Dutch market, Playmobil started to market a whole host of figures, from medieval knights, to Native Americans, and construction workers.
