I loved so much about this story! The relationship between the sisters was just one of those items. Their dynamic was written so well! I got all the warm-fuzzies thinking about having a relationship like that.

Such Sharp Teeth by Rachel Harrison brings a classic monster tale with a side of wit, romance and an unbreakable sisterly bond. This is only my second book by Harrison but her blend of cosy comforting horror is something I’m absolutely coming to love. So don't totally trust my review without first knowing that I hate all of these things. I loathe romance. I particularly hate women whose identities revolve around their relationships with men. I hate cute dialogue and banter. I hate fluffy, not-scary "horror". And yeah, it's fine to like those things, but personally, I'd rather be slapped by Edward Scissorhands than hang out with women like the characters in this book. Cavities are caused by tooth decay — a process that occurs over time. Here's how tooth decay develops:It's about learning to surrender sometimes, and learning to trust, and what to do when your trust is betrayed, or the people you love can't or won't give you what you need. Most dentists do this type of restoration in two visits. No one is writing horror that explores the intricacies of femininity like Rachel Harrison. This brilliant story is about accepting your identity, your past, love, friendship, and family... all wrapped up in a deeply satisfying and scary monster tale. Such Sharp Teeth is as irresistible as the pull of the full moon—I couldn't tear myself away." Speaking of the main plot, there really is no plot here. I thought for sure the main focus of the story would be Rory researching werewolfism and trying to find the one who bit her to cure herself. No, that would have taken focus away from the romance and family drama. Instead, the climax of the plot seems to culminate in two events: Rory's sister having the baby and Rory revealing her were-self to Ian.

The book is deceiving, though, and at first you think you’re only getting a standard tale of a young woman who changes into a werewolf. But Harrison turns the story into so much more.
