All UniFi Cloud Gateways, as of November 2023. These models are newer, and they all run UniFi OS. They have been called UniFi OS Consoles, Gateway Consoles, and now Cloud Gateways. They act as routers or firewalls, and also run the UniFi software applications like Network and Protect. These can’t be used with Cloud Keys, cloud services, or a self-hosted UniFi Network application. The Cloud Keys are different. They are not gateways or routers, they only run UniFi OS applications. I’m including them to make comparing which models run which UniFi OS applications easier. Cloud Keys require the use of the USG, USG-Pro, UXG-Lite, UXG-Pro, or some 3rd party router or firewall. Effortless Setup via Bluetooth The Ubiquiti U6-IW UniFi In-Wall WiFi 6 PoE Access Point is a dual-band, wall-mounted access point, with four (4) GbE RJ45 ports, that brings plug-and-play WiFi 6 to your home or office. One of the U6-IW's ports also supports PoE output so you can connect and power a device via Ethernet. With its 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi 6 bands, the U6-IW offers an aggregate, over-the-air throughput rate of 5.3 Gbps, which can support over 300 clients. The U6-IW is also Bluetooth-compatible so it can be set up in minutes and managed from anywhere via the UniFi Network web application or mobile app. Key Features An electrical wall box should be pre-installed with an Ethernet cable running from the box to a UniFi Switch with PoE.

Ethernet port supports data and PoE passthrough (requires 802.3at PoE+ input). The maximum PoE passthrough output is 12W.PoE+ input is required to use PoE passthrough. Connect this port to a UniFi Switch with PoE that is connected to your LAN and DHCP server.
