About this deal

Ideally, you will be using Drawing Club already in Year 1 since this is a bridge from Reception for the children. Each Saturday morning session will be led by a different artist, and you’re welcome to drop into as many or as few as you’d like. All you'll need is a pencil, paper and rubber, with each session exploring different techniques and styles. Do you love books and stories? Do you want to open up the magic world of tales and story to children whilst at the same time enriching their language skills, developing their fine motor and sharing really special time with them? Are you looking for an approach to Literacy that doesn’t involve laboriously learning stories for weeks on end, but instead immerses children into a world full of imagination where anything can happen and often does? You will have abundant opportunities to show children the joy of SPAG and apply their phonic understanding too, though The Curious Quests does not tell you what to teach and when - that is down to you and your knowledge of your children and the curriculum. The Curious Quests, just like Drawing Club is more like an open-ended landscape to adventure in. Created as a precursor to Drawing Club, Story Dough! is a ten minute pop-up for adults and small groups of children to invent, wonder and bring imagination to life using a great big clod of playdough. And just like Drawing Club, you can take Story Dough! on an adventure with your children - the possibilities are endless as is the potential joy...

The Magic Mirror from 'School and the Magic of Children' - a telling way to see whether you have added to or eroded childhood. It can be a fantastic way to show that childhood is being honoured and valued across your day. Story Dough! is offering you the chance to 'book snuggle' with small groups of children, to spend quality time with them exploring stories, showing them the joy of manipulating play dough, sprinkling vocabulary, connecting mark making with positive emotion and above all going on an adventure with them into imagination and make-believe - all the things that childhood is looking for and the perfect opportunity to bring skills to life... The Curious Quests wants to build on the liberation of Drawing Club that shows children that writing is for them and that the pen is a magic wand. They write for their own joy, not to meet the demands of the adults.Sunday Life Drawing will continue to run most weeks at Wasps Artist studios in Dalry until December. Look and Draw will be relocating to The Heart of Newhaven Communitty in the new year and will be restarting classes in the new studio.

The Curious Quests combines short carpet sessions, group work and children exploring open-ended resources such as junk modelling, construction, playdough, role play and if possible, being outside. If you don't have 'continuous provision' like this then you can't go on the The Curious Quests. After a difficult year, we want to celebrate our community in this series of free, live-streamed workshops. Join our artist tutors in the Royal Academy for the opportunity to be inspired and get creative, using drawing materials you’ll have at home. This cool drawing app is for everyone with all drawing skills. You will learn how to draw effortlessly by following the drawing process. Thank you Karen! I never though I could do faces. You broke it down so it was understandable! And I love your book! I got it yesterday! Can't wait to start practicing! It's so much fun!!!!!

Play Projects are an amazing way to unearth the magic of children. Created by Greg, Play Projects have creativity, collaboration and curiosity right at their heart and they are a brilliant way to create a culture of play within your classroom or setting. Play Projects even have the potential to take childhood upwards all the way to Year 6 as well as being perfect for online learning too :)

The message centre enables our children to explore the joy of messaging, an approach to sprinkling extra joy over the top of their day, showing them how reading, writing and mathematics can be hidden in and around their room and outdoors too. Our children love hiding and finding – think pass the parcel, birthday presents, egg hunts and hide and seek. There is a buzz to be had, and it is this buzz that the Message Centre approach has at its heart. Decorate a T-shirt or plain canvas bag using fabric pens, embroidery, or tie dye, or try glue batik ! Allow the children to take ownership of their design or, alternatively, give them a theme or special occasion as inspiration for creating a design. What Fans Are Saying Karen, you are absolutely fabulous! You make me feel like I can draw anything. I have recently retired and finally have the time to do some of the art that I have loved since I was in school. I am really at the beginning of my art journey and I hope to learn as much as I can. Thank you for all you do.
