Ms Lacey urged the jury consider Dr Wright’s statement that capacity is not absolute and that “just because someone behaves in a purposeful way in relation to a particular act… you can’t simply infer from that that the person has capacity generally.” The German actor Michael Pink was originally going to play Silva, before Bardem was cast. Nonetheless, Pink would go on and play as one of Silva's henchmen. She said the only bizarre behaviours mentioned by Professor Kennedy were that Mr Silver whistled, sang and played with the window blinds. She pointed to further evidence in the aftermath of the shooting which she said showed Mr Silver was “detached from reality”. There is quite a bit of suspense and a few twists I didn’t see coming which kept me guessing and I think I read the second half of the story in one sitting- I couldn’t put it down and kept wanting to get through to the HEA!

Dax is an interesting and complex character who starts off really closed off but once he falls for Rose he falls hard. He’s fighting his own demons, but together they’re a beautiful couple- absolutely perfect for each other.Elle Nicoll definitely has a way with words and with gripping you by the throat (not only in pleasure) but with all the emotion as well. I say this every time I read a book in this series but Elle’s writing improves with every book. You fall in love with the characters and you give a little of yourself to them and want them to be so happy. At one point he pointed to a badge on his waistcoat and told a garda at the scene that he was in the air force. Realizing that Silva has always been one step ahead of them the whole time, his capture by MI6 and subsequent escape having been planned years in advance (with SPECTRE possibly having had a hand in this), Bond deduces that he plans to travel along the subway and emerge at the scene of a public inquiry into M's actions regarding the stolen hard drive, with an intention to kill M at the public inquiry. Silva is ahead of Bond, having his henchmen deliver him the uniform of a Metropolitan Police Constable, and riding the Tube to the public inquiry. After a chase at the station near where M's deposition is taking place, Silva is successfully able to evade Bond at the end of the chase by using his police radio to detonate an underground bomb that causes an incoming train to derail, almost crushing Bond. In his first interview Dr Wright noted that Mr Silver was restless, talkative and over-familiar, engaged in inappropriate laughing and appeared elated. As the interviews continued he became irritable and agitated, expressed persecutory and delusional beliefs and by the third and fourth interviews he was becoming more erratic. It had been hinted before that Sterling had a lot going on behind the scene, something that was mostly a joke for his family. Now we get his side of the story, and it’s way darker. Being hit on by an older woman could be seen as great and desirable. Except when she’s married, a long time friend of the family, someone of power in one’s life, and she’s manipulating and threatening one for favors. Especially if it starts when one is a teenager. What? Horror movies are more realistic.” “You think you’re more likely to be chopped up by a psycho with an axe than fall in love?” The one thing Rose asks is to not be lied to, but does that stand true of a lie by omission to keep her safe? This story is full of healing, forgiving your past, and finding who Rose and Dax were always meant to be. Dax helps Rose find her silver lining and she helps him see who he truly is under his armor. The chemistry and heat in this book is perfect and their emotional connection makes your heart melt. He first became unwell, she said, when he was 22 years old in 1997, and was admitted to hospital involuntarily eleven times and voluntarily four times up to 2010. He had two further voluntary admissions in 2018 and 2019 before the shooting of Gda Horkan. She reminded the jury that Dr Wright said the best evidence of Mr Silver’s condition was his interviews with gardaí, which began 14 hours after the shooting and were recorded on DVD.

I don't know how you do Elle, but you have. I absolutely love Dax and Rose. This book had me gripped fromDax, like Rose, has had trauma in his past leaving him very much a man living without truly living. He has been through a lot making his miserable, grumpy persona understandable to the reader.
