Oh my goodness, this dinosaur party was such a fun one to plan and attend! It is hard to imagine Connor is already three. He is at a fun age now where he not only understands but appreciates and is excited about his birthday party.

We made our own “Feed the T-Rex” game. Brent free hand painted our Tyrannosaurus Rex on a large sheet of cardboard. We have a large framed chalkboard over our coffee bar that we made so it only seems fitting to me I create a new chalkboard design for the theme of the party. Loose balloons. We also had a bunch of loose balloons floating around on the ground and hung to the front door outside.We wanted to tie the cake to the invitation design so we designed the cake topper to be a speech bubble and then transformed a plastic dinosaur to look more like the playful t-rex on the envelopes. Alternatively, you can also fill the number three with blue icing to make it look like a dino land cake or a Jurassic dinosaur cake with a blue pond or river. I printed the clues on parchment paper sheets, cut them out, rolled them up, and tied them up with twine so they looked like vintage scrolls. I printed off several of my favorite photos I took from our dinosaur hunter photoshoot I mentioned at the beginning of the post and taped them to the wall with some of the palm leaves.
