In the same way you also must regard yourselves as dead in relation to sin, but as alive in relation to God, because you are in Christ Jesus.Let not ( U)sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 ( V)Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but ( W)present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For ( X)sin ( Y)will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. Slaves to Righteousness What shall we say then? ( FK)Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, ( FL)“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion, [ r] but on God, who has mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, ( FM)“For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. Brothers, [ u] my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that ( GP)they have a zeal for God, ( GQ)but not according to knowledge. 3 For, being ignorant of ( GR)the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 For ( GS)Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. From Suffering to Glory In this way also consider yourselves that you are dead to sin and that you are living to God in our Lord Yeshua The Messiah. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?In the same way, you too must continuously consider yourselves dead as far as sin is concerned, but living for God through the Messiah Jesus.
