Description

Even when cranking up the loads, heat dissipation is superb, with the rear exhaust fan never struggling and rarely feeling like it's actually warm air coming out. Maximum CPU temperatures under a full stress test only ever reached the low 70s Celsius (158F) and the fully open top did a great job at venting the heat. You could expect similar results using a blower-style GPU as well, and if you're air cooling the amount of air that the front 140mm fans pull through, this means you're going to have no issues cooling even a warm CPU.

The rest of that side is taken up by a PSU shroud that is integrated into the exterior of the case but is also removable for easy access to your power supply. It's held in by a single screw and simply slides out. Nothing fancy, but it's a seamless design integration that fits perfectly with the aesthetics of the case.

The Phanteks P350X doesn't have a full mesh front, but still provides excellent airflow and like the Lancool 205 Mesh, accepts an ATX motherboard and boasts plenty of space inside to build. It's a quality PC case and costs a little less than the Lancool 205 Mesh, though admittedly doesn't look as good and comes with fewer included fans. The new Lancool 205 combines premium design with excellent cooling properties. Lian Li have crafted a particularly stylish Midi-Tower case with the Lanccool 205. It includes a tempered glass side panels to let users display any components they have installed. RGB LED illumination is particularly effective as mesh inlets on the front panel create an eye catching effect when they are illuminated. Perfect for PC modders - easy access to components

Sporting a sleek white finish, the Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh Mid-Tower Case is as stylish as it is functional. Alongside the mesh front panel, this chassis features a tempered glass side panel, making this the perfect showcase for your high-end components. The integrated fans sport vivid aRGB LEDs which shine brilliantly through the mesh front panel. Keeping all your hard-earned hardware safe, the chassis is made from highly durable steel. The Lancool 205 Mesh is a variation of Lian Li's existing Lancool 205, with the main difference being the introduction of a mesh panel on the front of the case. This improves airflow over the original dramatically, and the fine holes also seem to do a decent job at acting as a dust filter, too. In the space of a week of constant use, there's no sign of any significant dust intrusion into the case's interior. Sporting a sleek white finish, the Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh C Mid-Tower Case is as stylish as it is functional.

Product Reviews

ATX is the maximum size motherboard the Lancool 205 Mesh will take, and you get a full complement of available PCIe expansion slots on the rear of the case as a companion. The NZXT N7 Z590 has a lot of important bits on the very bottom of the motherboard, but feeding cables to the right headers is simple thanks to the two sizeable, but still discreet-looking access holes in the bottom. Lian Li consistently makes outstanding PC cases and the Lancool 205 Mesh is no exception. I am a little nervous about the long-term dust factor of having a mesh front and no traditional dust filter, but at the same time, it's incredible how much air it pulls through and how cool everything is inside. The Lian Li Lancool 205M Mesh may only measure 400mm in height, but is still able to accommodate high performance hardware. There is space within the main chamber to install either a Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX motherboard. Alongside this solid foundation, there is also clearance for a powerful 350mm long GPU. Under the main compartment is space for installing the PSU. This area can house a 180mm long power supply, in addition to a drive cage for two storage drives. The drive cage can support either two 3.5" HDDs or a 3.5" HDD and a 2.5" SSD. Two more 2.5" SSDs can also be installed behind the motherboard tray, for a total of up to four storage drives! Keeping your interior looking sleek and thermally optimised, the Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh Mid-Tower Case has a dual chamber design. The larger primary chamber supports up to an ATX Motherboard. Despite its overall compact nature, this case can host a GPU up to 350mm, has CPU clearance up to 160mm, and supports a PSU up to 160mm long. There is no need to compromise on high-end components when it comes to this case. Plus, this mid-tower case facilitates very tidy cable management, courtesy of the PSU shroud which acts as a second chamber. The PSU shroud resides behind a removable side panel, which also hides a dedicated drive bay. Keeping the power supply separate from the rest of the components further helps regulate temperatures within the case. Additionally, the dedicated drive bay can hold up to 4 × 2.5” SSDs or 2 × 2.5” SSDs and 2 × 3.5” HDDs, granting you great flexibility when it comes to your chosen storage solution. Lancool Style

An update to the Lancool II Midi-Tower case, the Lancool 205 from Lian Li has a smaller form factor but retains the same impressive design. The Lancool 205 at a glance: The Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh is almost impossible to fault, offering a stunning design at a reasonable price that lends itself to a truly special-looking PC build. Lian Li is one of the biggest and most respected case makers in the world. They’ve had countless awards from me over the last decade (OK, maybe not really countless, I just can’t be bothered to count them), and from many others around the world. It’s not exactly surprising then that this case is pretty excellent. Albeit they’ve not done anything that their rivals aren’t doing, it’s a bit by the numbers really. You get a tempered glass window, a couple of pre-installed fans, dust filters, good hardware support, a PSU shroud, and some stealth SSD mounts. However, what is impressive is the overall quality you get for such a small price. The included fans are whisper quiet, too, and as an added bonus Lian Li includes a fan controller in the rear of the case so you don't even have to worry about running cables all around your motherboard as it's good enough for up to five fans, as well as five RGB cables from those fans.

Micro Center Support:

The Lian Li Lancool 205M Mesh includes several design features that make it an exceptional case for maintaining optimum temperatures. Firstly, there is the front mesh panel that allows large volumes of air to pass through unimpeded. To enhance airflow even further, this case features two pre-installed 1200RPM ARGB PWM 140mm fans behind this front panel. Alongside this, there are three more positions for 120mm fans including two at the top and one at the rear. Alternatively, the Lian Li Lancool 205M Mesh can support a 240mm radiator at the front and at the top of the chassis. With natural airflow, you might worry about dust taking root inside your gaming PC tower. Thanks to the comprehensive dust filters across the body of the Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh, that worry is no more. Positioned on the top, front, and bottom, all the filters are removable, making them very easy to clean! For added convenience, the top filter is magnetic, making it exceptionally easy to detach and reinstall. Interior Design
