Vol. 2 (ch. 5–9): January 22, 2011. ISBN 978-4-7575-3129-1. (in Japanese). April 2015. ISBN 978-0-316-34002-1 (in English) Probably one of the more prominent problems in Akame ga Kill is the comedy. The problem isn't in the comedy itself. (Though I admit most of the humor was stale) but rather the execution. Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to slide in a petty joke in many emotional or dramatic scenes. Probably the best example of this would be a scene where Tatsumi finds out about the corruption in the capital and mourns over his loved ones that died to this corruption. This was supposed to be a very emotional scene but then Night Raid kidnaps Tatsumi and makes petty jokes along the way. It is scenes like this that make me unable to take the show very seriously.

Wave ( ウェイブ, Weibu) is a young fisherman from a small town who joins the Jaegers after having served in the empire's navy. [ ch.15] He dislikes the current state of the Empire but embraces his role as an enforcer due to a debt owed to an unseen savior from when he was in the navy. [ ch.28] Nevertheless, Wave tries befriending some of his fellow Jaegers, taking a liking to Bols and Kurome. His bond with Kurome as well his anger at atrocities caused by Wild Hunt cause him to act against them when Syura tries to violate Kurome. [ ch.46] Wave later intervenes in Kurome's duel with Akame and professes his love for her, convincing her to defects so he can treat her drug addiction. He receives Akame's blessing as she and the others agree to make it appear the two died in battle with each other. Wave initially possesses the Teigu "Carnage Incarnate: Grand Chariot" ( 修羅化身 ランシャリオ, Shura Kesshin: Guranshario), [ vol.4: postscript] a suit of armor modeled after Incursio that enhances his physical strength and grants flight. [ ch.18] Takahiro describes him as something of a rival character to Tatsumi because their Teigus are similar. [ vol.4:postscript] During Kurome's battle with Akame, Wave receives Run's Teigu "Thousands Miles Flight: Mastema" ( 万里飛翔 マスティマ, Banri Hishō: Masutima), and is able to use it and Grand Chariot in perfect synch, becoming the first person capable of using two Teigu at once. [ ch.66] However, this causes side effects that deteriorate his inner organs and killing his liver as a result. Wave eventually comes to Tatsumi's aid against the Emperor, and together, they defeat him. After the end of the war, Wave and Kurome both live together in peace.

MOVIES

Currently, Wave has been the only known individual that has ever been able to use two Teigus at once. However, despite the minimal time he spent using two Teigu, Wave suffered severe damage to his body, stating that an unspecified organ was damaged beyond repair and required that he see a doctor once a year. Champ ( チャンプ, Champu) is a member of Wild Hunt who appears as an overweight, sadistic, serial killer and pedophilic clown. His motive for raping and killing children is so they will not become "filthy adults". He wields the Teigu "Ace Solution: Die Leaguer" ( 快投乱麻 タイリーガー, Kaitō Ranma: Tairīgā), which takes the form of six floating orbs, each imbued with a different attribute when tossed (flame, lightning, ice, storm, rot, and explosive). As he is the one who killed Run's students, Run swore vengeance against him and succeeded in killing Champ by incinerating him with his own flame orb. His Teigu was retrieved by Night Raid. [ ch.48] Cosmina [ edit ]

Another limitation a Teigu has is that it can also be self-destructed, either through detonation or overuse. This is shown when Bols was able to activate Rubicante's self-destruction function after it was rendered unusable and Mine's Pumpkin was destroyed due to her overheating it from constant usage without sufficient cool down time and constantly firing powerful shots. Teigu were, presumably, created through a long and intricate process. As stated by the Strange Elder, the weapons forged into Teigu must have a Danger Beast's attributes imbued into them, and the raw materials selected can determine the Teigu's strength and its capabilities. As with almost all adaptation from manga to the anime, some things are bound to get lost in transition and Akame ga Kill! is no exception. Character interactions that gave depth to their relationship are left out but those scenes didn't really contribute in significantly in altering the core plotline. It is only towards the latter half of Akame ga Kill! that readers of the manga will notice that that the rather straightforward adaption will suddenly veer off into the original anime ending territory that leaves behind an entire arc unanimated and takes several liberties with the story. If you are only familiar with the anime TV production, it is unlikely that you would notice much of difference other than the accelerated pacing and build up. At this point, the manga remains unfinished and if the show decided to stay its original course, it would have ended in an awkward state and would have had to wait years before additional material would be available. For a show to tell a complete story in an age where anime shows are mere primers for the source material is a rarity indeed.Budo was then seen sparing together with Akame, Green, Tsukushi and Poney in hand-to-hand combat in the arena and was shown to be clearly impressed by their potential and skills. In the anime, Shambhala displayed the ability to teleport the user in rapid succession as long as the user had been to that location before. Its Trump Card was also revealed to teleport its target into an alternate space.

him the capital is a place filled with opportunities and a happy life. But after reaching the capital he soon realizes exactly how corrupt the capital is. After certain events he is recruited by Night Raid, A group of assassins that wish to overthrow the government and end this corruption. The story follows Tatsumi, a countryside boy that travels to the capital to join the military and earn money to send to his village suffering from poverty. To Sheele ( シェーレ, Shēre) has dark purple hair with part of it styled in a single bun, and wears glasses. [5] Growing up in the low districts of the Capital, Sheele first discovers her abilities as an assassin when she rescues her only friend by killing her abusive ex-boyfriend. When a gang related to the boyfriend seeks to avenge her, killing her parents in the process, she easily murders them. Eventually, she joins the Revolutionary Army and later, Night Raid. Despite being an experienced assassin, she does not have regular duties at Night Raid as she tends to be air-headed and clumsy at cooking and cleaning. [ ch.5, 7] Her Teigu is the "Slice All: Extase" ( 万物両断 エクスタス, Banbutsu Ryōdan: Ekusutasu), a huge pair of scissors that easily severs anything in half. [ ch.1, 5] She is killed in a battle against Seryu when the latter immobilizes her and upper torso is devoured by Seryu's Teigu Koro. Her final action was using her Trump Card, releasing a blinding light, allowing an injured Mine to flee as she is devoured to death by Koro. [ ch.9] Her death was avenged when Mine defeats and cuts both Koro and Seryu in half and, with Tatsumi's help, manages to escape Seryu's suicide nuclear bombing. a b "Voice of the Voices - Akame ga Kill! After she wakes up, it's revealed that she is pregnant with Tatsumi's child and they retire in the countryside to spend their life together as a family. Sten appeared alongside his fellow demons at a party hosted by Bolic where they meet the Jaegers, as they were tasked with protecting Bolic from Night Raid. When Seryu spoke up and said that they should have Teigu in case they come across Night Raid, Sten stated that Teigu users are still human, with Mez adding that there are countless ways to deal with them. Esdeath: Esdeath has been seen to sarcastically refer to him as "Old Geezer" but still held Budo in high regards and respects him due to his strength. Upon hearing his statement that he would deal with the Prime Minister once the rebellion has been suppressed, Esdeath smiled to herself stating that she looked forward to their potential battle.

When Budo battled Tatsumi after Incursio evolved, he notes Incursio's progress and realizes that his opponent may have done the impossible by fusing with his Teigu. [ ch.55] Budo is killed by Mine's blast during their rescue operation to save Tatsumi; elading Mine to fall into a coma. [ ch.56] Wild Hunt [ edit ]

Ranked no.3, Cornelia is the big-sister figure of the group. She is killed by one of Chelsea's former teammates called Taeko, after revealing her secret to her, unaware of her true identity. Her Shingu was the "Pulverization Ring", that bestows superhuman strength to its user, but can harm them if not used properly. Night Raid is the covert assassination branch of the Revolutionary Army, an uprising assembled to overthrow Prime Minister Honest, whose avarice and greed for power has led him to take advantage of the child emperor's inexperience. Without a strong and benevolent leader, the rest of the nation is left to drown in poverty, strife, and ruin. Though the Night Raid members are all experienced killers, they understand that taking lives is far from commendable and that they will likely face retribution as they mercilessly eliminate anyone who stands in the revolution's way.
