Jesus healed a woman once who was bent over and could not straighten herself. When some criticized him for doing that on the Sabbath, he said, “Ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?” (Luke 13:16). Jesus saw Satan as the one who had caused this disease. Our world is filled with events and situations that can cause great anxiety and fear. If we were all honest, we'd admin that it can be overwhelming when we begin to worry about our loved ones, family, friends, and even ourselves. We want to protect ourselves and our loved ones from harm - emotional, physical, and spiritual. When you feel worry start to creep in, saying a prayer for protection is a powerful way to gain assurance of safety. We are promised in God’s Word that he is faithful and will protect us ( 2 Thessalonians 3:3). Because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." - Psalm 16:10-11

Prayer for Protection in Serving God

As a faithful Catholic and devoted to Mary's powerful intercession one must not forget the Sacraments as the prime source of graces particularly the Holy Eucharist.

I lift up my treasured friendships to You today. Please protect our bonds, keeping misunderstanding and strife far from us. May Your love be the cornerstone of our relationships, fostering kindness, empathy, and trust. Guard our conversations, ensuring that they are filled with grace and truth. Infuse our interactions with patience and understanding, fostering growth and unity.In 2 Thessalonians 2:9, the last days are described like this: “The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power, and with signs and wonders of the lie.” That’s my awkward translation. Some translate it “with false signs and wonders.” But this makes the signs and wonders look unreal. In fact, some people do say that Satan can only fake miracles. I doubt it. And even if it’s true, his fake is going to be good enough to look real to almost everybody. As I step into this new day, I humbly place myself under Your loving care. Surround me with Your shielding presence and let Your grace be my armor. Guide my steps and lead me along paths of righteousness. If you need a refresher for what those “designs” are, here is a summary. May God make you a mighty warrior! May he “train your hands for war and your fingers for battle” (Psalm 144:1). 1. Satan lies, and is the father of lies. Among these signs, certain ones, such as Christian patience in adversity, are proof that the inequality of natural conditions is at times more than compensated by divine grace. This is borne out by the beatitudes as recorded in the Gospel: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, the meek, they that mourn, they that hunger and thirst after justice, the merciful, the clean of heart, the peacemakers, they that suffer persecution for justice' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." St. Thomas points out especially in his teaching that to bear patiently a heavy cross and for a long time is a sign of predestination. - What is a special sign of predestination?

Since Our Lady is our Mother and Advocate, She always assists those who call on Her implicitly by praying the Rosary. The Church reminds us of this in the Memorare prayer, "... never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided ..." He sees behind enemy lines, and knows exactly the strategies that will be used against us. He has written them down in a wartime manual “so that we would not be outwitted by Satan.” The reason we will not be outwitted is that “we are not ignorant of his designs” (2 Corinthians 2:11). In a world filled with conflict and turmoil, I humbly ask for Your calming presence to be my refuge. Let Your peace, which transcends understanding, guard my heart and mind as I navigate the conflicts that surround me. May Your presence be a shelter from the storms that seek to consume me, and may Your still, small voice guide me through the chaos. In the name of Jesus, who calms the raging seas, I pray for the peace that only You can provide to reign in my heart and mind. Amen. 16. So evidently God sees the ongoing role of Satan as essential for his purposes in the world, since, if God willed, Satan would be thrown into the lake of fire now, instead of at the end of the age. “The devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and . . . will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). When is the right time to pray to Satan?

This is a request of identification. Lord, please place Your holy mark on my children. Set them apart to be used by You. I love them but You love them more. You love them with an everlasting love. May they represent You well on their earthly journey. And when their journey is completed, welcome them home to live forever with You.
