Description

Llamas make a variety of noises, including a gentle hum, which they use to communicate with each other. They may also make alarm calls, grunts, or snorts in response to different situations. Can You Ride a Llama? Adopt a llama and send big love to those gorgeous shaggy-coated creatures! With their funny ears and lovely little lop-sided smiles, llamas are totally adorable. But some of them need your help and that's where these llama adoption kits come in. We have been successfully running this adopt-a-llama scheme now, since 2007 and it has proven to be a very popular gift for young and old alike! Unlike many other adopt-an-animal schemes, the recipient will also get the chance to come and spend a session (by appointment) with Lady Jane. These sessions generally last for around an hour, during which time they will be introduced to the chosen llama, given the opportunity to mingle with the entire herd (helping to feed them, groom them, getting to know them) and perhaps even getting the chance to take one out for a short walk, or try their hand at a spot of llama agility. The emphasis in these sessions is on having fun - and this applies to both llamas and visitors. Animal adoption is the unique gift that keeps on giving, a great birthday present for adults and children alike.

If you’re put off by having to spend several hundred to many thousands of dollars for a llama, you should know that it may be possible to get a llama for free. While it might not be easy to find a free llama, it would be worth any effort you put forth if you do end up finding a free one. Llama overpopulation is a real and scary thing. During the past few decades, indiscriminate breeders flooded the market with inexpensive, unregistered llamas. Now excess male alpacas are readily available, too. Yes, it’s possible to adopt a llama! Many rescue organizations and sanctuaries offer llamas for adoption. Adopting a llama can be a more cost-effective and ethical way to bring one into your life, as you’re providing a loving home to an animal in need.
