About this deal

Neither the EOS SLR nor the Canon Sureshot Zoom XL has the upper hand when it comes to exposure. Most of the time the two exposed very similarly. Sometimes one over or under-exposed compared to the other and sometimes it was the other way round, with no discernible pattern. Here, the Zoom XL compact (right) underexposed, but…. … in this comparison the EOS SLR (left) underexposed just as badly. The original Canon Sure Shot was a great success, notably one of the first 35mm point and shoot cameras to feature autofocus. Metering Range (at ISO 100) – Flash Auto and Flash On modes 1/60 f/3.5-1/250 f/22 (EV9.5-17); Flash Off mode 2 seconds f/3.5-1/250 f/22 (EV3-17) Frame advancing is also fully automatic and motorised. A frame counter sits on top left of the camera which shows every 3 numbers. They don’t come much cheaper than this Canon Sure Shot AF-7 I found in a charity shop alongside this one. But if they’re so cheap, are they even worth bothering with? If you have to pay for the film anyway, why waste it in a poor camera?

He would descend into the water wearing a heavy diving suit, the ones with the metal bulb head gear. His efforts produced work which was published in 1893 and led to the ability to this day for people to see wildlife in its natural habitat right to the lower depths of the sea. He also published a book in 1898 called “La Photographie Sous-Marine” (Underwater Photography) which detailed his underwater photographic work. The book came with many photos taken over the years.Ah ha, that’s a great piece of trivia. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately the AF-7 I found in a charity shop had been separated from its tiger. 🙁 Reply The large Albada viewfinder has a long eye relief, making it easy to view even with a underwater face mask or ski goggles.

Above water: 3-point Smart Autofocus with near-infrared beam. Prefocus enabled.Underwater: None. Fixed focus (Macro: 0.45 m – 1 m) Shooting Range – 0.45 meters (1.5 feet) to infinity on land; 1 to 3 meters (3.3 to 9.9 feet) underwater; underwater macro mode 0.45 meters to 1 meter (1.5 to 3.3 feet) It’s not going to be the most impressive film camera you’ll ever own as far as image quality or advanced features goes, but that wouldn’t be why you bought one.Decent sharpness at 50mm from center to corners, comparable to the SLR lens but not quite as good when viewed at 100% of a 24 megapixel scan, and almost indistinguishable at 12 megapixel (roughly 10×8 print size) Sharpness is evenly good throughout the image in the middle of the zoom range. Beautiful Olympus XA-2 Compact Point and Shoot 35mm Film Camera 35mm f3.5 lens + A11 Flash + Display Case Paperwork EXCELLENT Film Tested Keep your camera looking shipshape and get the most out of its features with supporting accessories. If you want to expand your camera's capabilities and capture more than your usual photos, you must take a look at the different kinds of camera lenses available. From VR lenses to macro and zoom lenses, the possibilities are endless. As camera technology improved, small features would change between the different Canon Sure Shots. But no matter which version, the function and shooting experience remained very similar. Similarities Between Canon Sure Shot 35mm Cameras The Canon Sure Shot Max might not technically be the smallest or lightest version, but it’s probably the most sleek. A big reason for this is the fully-retractable lens that gives the camera a flat profile when powered off.
