About this deal

I step in line with the three men under my spell to fight the first wave. I ram my shoulder into the pirate who dared to call me “the siren bitch,” sending him over the railing. He screams until he’s cut off with a loud crunch. I don’t pause to look—I’m already thrusting my sword through the belly of the next pirate. He collapses to the floor, and I walk over his twitching body to reach the next man. This is a story that is waiting to be read, a journey waiting to be embarked of a crew whose members share a bond that is undeterred even by constant threats. The thrilling second installment in New York Times bestselling author Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me series. Read the first chapter here or listen to the first chapter audio here while you put together a puzzle of the cover! There was not a single dull moment. Her father’s betrayal was hard for her to digest at first, but when it became clear that her father was only using her for his gain and care nothing for her, she faced it like a big girl and fought hard.

Many start to move, heeding their captain’s call, but one man shouts, “No, look behind him! It’s the siren bitch!” I finished this one last night and I have to say that I really love this series overall - even though I wish there had been more with the sirens in this one? 🏴‍☠☠️⚓🧜 fake object that makes it look like he can control sirens. However she also finds two glasses and two chairs, clearly someone has been in that room with her father. She Much more elaborate and colorful version than the first book, I never expected that it would turn out this good. (*I was expecting a movie script – Thankfully it is not but it could be turned into a movie.)Her father was grabbed by the most beautiful of them all. Their queen. She, like the others, pulled him down to the ocean’s floor.

He shouts, “Outside, you fools! It’s the land king’s men. They approach from the south! Go and meet them.” Plans change. Besides, I had all of Vordan’s men piled together in one location. How could I resist blowing it up? He has nothing now.” The smaller of the two meets my eyes, recognizes who I am, and makes a run for it out the main entrance, just past the stairs. A rope already hangs down from the roof. Sorinda has beaten me here. I hoist myself up floor after floor, avoiding the windows, until my boots steady on the stone tiles of the roof. Sorinda is just putting her sword away, four of Vordan’s men dead at her feet. There is nothing she excels at more than killing. Daughter of the Siren Queen was probably just as good as Daughter of the Pirate King, though both wavered and weren’t perfect. With both, there would be moments where I’m extremely invested and loving everything going on, only to feel bored five minutes later. Those highs and lows were odd, I have to admit. Regardless, it was still a good story.

And Riden. A definite swoon worthy love interest. I loved the parts that had both Alosa and Riden together and it gave me so many warm feelings... *sighs* between Alosa and Riden. A storm hits the ship and causes Riden to fall overboard. Alosa goes in, even though she is afraid the siren in her will take over. The siren does told they only have one barrel of drinkable water. Riden confronts her about being yanked into the water with her. She tells him he’s the only one that can keep her human and

Joined by a distractingly handsome mercenary and a young scholar with extensive knowledge of the world’s known magics, Ziva and her sister set out on a quest to keep the sword safe until they can find a worthy wielder or a way to destroy it entirely. The Pirate King - her father finally catches up to them, but with plans to talk since he has only sent one ship forward. She lets him know that her mother is no longer on Here, I wait, watching my breath fog out in front of me in the slim moonlight. Though I could use the heat, I don’t dare risk the sound of my hands rubbing together. There is nothing for me to do now except to hold perfectly still. A man claiming to be the estranged grandson of Chrysantha’s lecherous late husband has turned up to steal her inheritance. To make matters worse, her little sister is going to be queen and is rubbing it in her face. There weren’t many beautiful lines, but I didn’t really care, because that wouldn’t really fit into this book.

Queen of Sorrow

And yes!! She’s still half-siren, which I think is still very cool! How do her abilities help her learn more about herself and the people she loves? I have twenty-eight excellent girls aboard this ship, and their pasts have shaped them. Just as yours has shaped you. And every single one of them, down to little Roslyn, deserves your respect.” If I have to ask you one more time, I’ll start singing,” I warn. “What should I make you do first? Break your legs? Draw pictures on the walls in your own blood?” The clashes between Kalligan’s army and the crew are epically portrayed that they strike your mind just like their cutlasses. Just like the first book, I was completely bewitched by this one and I rate it 5 stars with any hesitation whatsoever.

I put my finger to my lips, then toss a coin at the boy, who catches it without taking his eyes off me. I give him a wink before crossing the gap to the next home. up he shoots harpoons in her ship. Niridia falls into the water. Then three more fall into the water. She doesn’t think. She grabs Riden knowing he’s the only one that can keep know it was gonna be like this. 😂 Alosa grabs her mom and makes a run for it. She sees Tylon coming and she gives her mom to Riden so they can get to her ship. Alosa I’m still pretty much in love with Alosa! She is such a good character even though she appears to be this tough, heartless person to other people. The way she cares for her crew is so beautiful! She literally does not think twice about putting herself in danger, but touch her crew and she will come for your head.

I catch the pirate before his corpse hits the ground and gently lower him the rest of the way. He is only the first of Theris’s—no, Vordan’s, I remind myself—crew who will die tonight. Vordan however has creet doubt into her mind when he tells her that her father is hiding a very important secret from her. where her father met her mother. They land and start cutting trees. One of the crew members goes missing and they send a search party after her. They follow a trail of blood I have no use for you if you don’t tell me where it is,” I say. “I will end your life. Right here. In this room. Your men will find your body in the morning.”
