well to begin with the rating is due to the name tatsuki fujimoto (mangaka of chainsaw man which was very good) and not because the story is good or any thing ,to be honest it took me 20 minutes to read it completely and i cant feel a thing like why is such a story even being published , the story is so straightforward and simple and have literally nothing good in particular. Fujimoto commented that he wanted to "draw manga like Korean films", citing the 2008 South Korean film The Chaser as example, stating: "the main character chases after the villain, but thirty minutes into the movie, he catches him. This is supposed to happen at the end of the movie, so you keep wondering what will happen next. A lot of people say that in Korean movies they cannot tell what the director is thinking, but actually, if you watch until the end, you will get it. I wanted to make something like that." [56] He also mentioned the 2016 Japanese film Sadako vs. Kayako, Kōji Shiraishi's film series Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi! [ ja], [57] the 2011 Indonesian film The Raid and Takeshi Kitano's work. [58] He was also influenced by manga authors Hiroaki Samura, [56] Hideki Arai, [57] and Tsutomu Nihei. [8] Works [ edit ] Serialized manga [ edit ] Jump SQ. (in Japanese). Shueisha. Fujimoto expresses that idea through the endearing relationship between the story's two leads and the sobering inspiration from real-life experiences and events. Tying it all together with creative paneling and a polished flow. Then there's also the obvious KyoAni reference, which makes me wonder if he did this for himself or for them. Maybe for both, but we'll probably never know. That just makes this story all the more affecting. After realising this was about precocious high schoolers discovering the joy of creating manga together, I was expecting a Bakuman-style comic - and if that was all we got, I wouldn’t have minded because that first volume of Bakuman at least is amazing. But I appreciated that Fujimoto took his story in a wildly different direction in the second half, even if he did so in a very clunky way. Fujimoto illustrated the cover of the novels anthology 5-Minute Stories: An Unexpected End ( 5分で読める驚愕のラストの物語, Gofun de Yomeru Kyōgaku no Rasuto no Monogatari ), released on April 2, 2021. [40] Fujimoto participated as a guest judge at Shonen Jump+ 's Million Tag online reality show in July 2021. [41] [42] Pineda, Rafael Antonio (April 10, 2022). Loners Are Freaks: A significant part of the one-shot centers on how lonely making art can be. Fujino as a child is shown to be a relatively normal and outgoing, but starts to be ostracized by her friends and has a more distant relationship with her family as she becomes fixated on being a good artist. Even when she becomes friends with Kyomoto, their lives revolve around making art, and Fujino questions if sacrificing so much for it mattered at all after Kyomoto's death. After Kyomoto's death, Fujino goes through a depressive bout and realizes that she actually dislikes drawing manga. When asked why she bothers, a montage answers the question in the form of all the times Kyomoto happily approved of all of Fujino's rough manuscripts. Dream Sequence: Near the end of the one-shot, Fujino imagines a world where she had given up on manga, and learned karate with her sister, and was thus able to save Kyomoto's life.Saikyō Jump (in Japanese). Friendly Rivalry: Fujino and Kyomoto have elements of it, with both being deeply inspired by the other to improve their art. It's tragically used as the reason Fujino blames herself for Kyomoto's death, feeling like her friendship pushed her to go to art school. Creator Cameo: Fujimoto's editor and partner-in-crime Shihei Lin can be spotted having left a comment of praise on Fujino and Kyomoto's first one-shot.

First of all, many already love him, so most don't talk about it, but Fujimoto's style is pretty scribbly. I love it because of that, but I can see it totally affecting his own self-esteem as an artist when he was young. And so he writes Fujino, the main character of the story. While her friends love her manga because it's clever and fun, she gets discouraged when another
