About this deal

As the description states, “ Two houses. Two front doors. One family. Nothing can possibly go wrong…

The other storyline is rather heartbreaking, and I was really satisfied with how the things turned out at the end. I'm very happy with this arrangement. Sometimes I have ** twice a day. I get it with my neighbor in the morning and from my husband at night. What modern girl wouldn't love that? I found the twist to be fairly predictable and even the final epulogue to be completely unbelievable. Honestly it took me longer to get through this book than it should have just because I never felt really invested in the story or cared what happened to the characters. Just a note about books written during the Pandemic - I’m just happy there’s an escape for the author. It truly doesn’t have to mean much for anyone else if that helps!Jess and Rob aren’t your typical divorcing couple. Their split was a mutual decision, and both moved on to new relationships. Hoping to make these big changes a little easier for their son to adapt to, they decided—along with new partners Ben and Carol and their respective children—to buy a pair of houses and live next door to one another. Everything seems perfect, until Jess receives an ominous message. When unsettling things begin to happen, Jess feels targeted… but by whom, and why? I'm intrigued. Why is your neighbour a vet while your husband is an exact? Has he inherited money or have you (or your husband) trumped things up? I loved the friendship between Jane & Sheena it definitely gave off similar vibes of the bond their parents had. That said, once I let go of that issue, I was invested and was swept along with the plot happily. It is fast paced, with creepy and chilling vibes throughout.

A couple is getting divorced. Both parties have amicably moved on in life and found other partners. Everyone involved seems to get along well. In fact, they all become close "friends". For the children's convenience, both couples agree to move and live next door to one another. (Yes, you read that right!) They all "think" this is a great idea. What could possibly happen? This book was so unpredictable and full of so many twists and turns, which has made it into a fab thriller. The further in you get you realise how clever the writing is, luring you into the complex web of family, friendships, lies, betrayal and so much more. Now I have ** with him on a regular basis, and my husband is clueless. Once my husband called home and I was talking to him on the phone when my neighbor was going down on me, lol. Would make a brilliant Netflix series,it has all the ingredients needed and as always from this author written so well Turns out, A LOT could go wrong! In Rona Halsall's The Wife Next Door, what starts as an ideal setup turns scary when a note appears, keys go missing, and a false accusation is brought into the mix.

I was swallowed whole by “The Wife Next Door” just like Alice in Wonderland and along with the many red herrings and rabbit holes I found this book to be a highly entertaining journey.

The differing character personalities were all portrayed very well, with Jane and her amateur but relentless sleuthing, Ashleigh and Evan as the troubled married couple next door and May, the old family friend and neighbour who holds her own secret past tied to Jane. There’s a dual timeline throughout, the current ongoing events and Jane’s childhood from the 1970’s. It was the latter that intrigued me the most, since it proved to be the centre point of the whole story.

Aside from my issue with the main premise, the characters are mostly likeable and I rooted for them. Jane hears her neighbours Ashleigh and Evan having a violent argument which triggers memories of her own troubled childhood. What brilliant writing! I mean … what could go wrong when a divorced couple decide to live next door to each other with their new partners? HA! Ummmm, everything! There was suspense, drama, intrigue, terror, and tons of psychological warfare. The plot was fantastic, and kept me engage throughout the entirety of the book. It was very well written, and just flowed. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good thriller. Certainly recommended! My Wife Next Door is a British sitcom created by Brian Clemens and written by Richard Waring. It was shown on BBC1 in 1972, and ran for 13 episodes.Wow!!!!... An absolutely fantastic unputdownable psychological thriller... It kept me on the edge of my seat and then in the edge of my bed until late at night as I just could not put it down!!!' Bookworm86 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’re making sure we’re not like every other separating couple. We know we will make it work.” Is she trying to convince herself? 😳 The programme is about a couple, George Basset ( John Alderton) and Suzie Basset ( Hannah Gordon). Each tries to start afresh after their divorce. They move to the country, only to find that they have moved into adjoining cottages. [1]
