About this deal

For the price this fragrance offers very little of value. Performance is poor, there's almost no sillage. As others have noted, the scent is linear. I don't get any of the listed notes, just a rather sharp vanilla. For what it's worth, Casmir and even Coty Vanilla Musk deliver stronger vanilla at far lower prices. The cardomom is more noticable in the edt. Here in the EDP, the boozy bourbon vanilla is most noticable. A nice easy-to-wear scent, along the lines of "Whispers in the Library", but it's SO faint!! After about an hour, it's basically gone; you REALLY have to overspray this one. Sillage is very low (nose-to-skin) from initial spray, and longevity is a joke (I will be generous and say I can root around and still smell it after three hours). I own a 200ml bottle of Clementine California, one of of best citruses I've ever smelled; amazingly refreshing and subtly sweet and leafy clementines. When this sample first arrived at the Cosmo office, I spritzed it on at my desk, loved the scent, and went on with my day. Throughout the next few hours, five different staffers crowded my desk asking what I was wearing. Someone raved about how it smells like what they imagine a “rich person’s living room” to smell like, probably due to the mix of sandalwood, musk, and vanilla. And ya know what? I have to agree—the woodsy vibes def smell like a cabin Airbnb I couldn’t afford.

A dreamy vanilla fluff that I can't really describe...Airy whipped cream/ice cream? It feels like a cloud...like a soft meringue ...like a not too sweet vanillic pavlova?Beautiful spicy vanilla-amber, with a peppery top note. Very nice but not very strong. Far too weak to warrant a full bottle.

Vanille Insensée Atelier Cologne for women and men

A dry spicy vanilla fragrance. 100% unisex, for fall and winter. The longevity and sillage are correct. For me, it is not a gourmand scent. Vanilla is a powerful appetite suppressant. Both ingesting vanilla and its scent will help curb cravings, which can help with weight loss. Aromatherapy with Vanilla There is a slight woodiness to ED as it develops, with the sweet amber accord adding a resinous edge as it dries down. The ambroxan is subtle, serving as a fixative of sorts while contributing to the ambery base. This is how to use ambroxan in my opinion. The spiced vanilla remains until final fade, dry and dusty until the end. Sillage is fairly intimate, and longevity is moderate. This really reminds me of Burberry Woman circa 2005. Like the original formulation, not what they're currently putting in those bottles. Not exactly but very reminiscent. But although this is an eau de parfum (which usually means it is denser and has a stronger scent profile, meaning it’ll last longer), this perfume is fairly weak, which I actually prefer for days when I just want a slight waft of my fragrance. But if you like a stronger scent, dab a little Vaseline or Aquaphor on your wrists before spritzing this on to give the perfume something to grip onto and increase the longevity a lil bit. This is actually a wonderful, citrusy vanilla that's heavy on the green notes, that would smell absolutely wonderful.....on a man. Yes, I know there are many here who would argue that this is more women-leaning, but the green quality of this vanilla scent in combination with the oak base convinces me that this is best suited on a free-spirited and confident man. I regret to say that much of this review shall be dedicated to comparison with Eau Duelle. I wish I could review Vanille Insensee on its own without existing impressions and comparisons to Eau Duelle, but, considering the fact that I smelled Eau Duelle first, comparison is inevitable.
