Description

Barebells took it one step further and more recently released their soft protein bars, which are truly a candy bar-like experience. It’s a classic protein bar flavour, and a go-to for many people. Barebells’ offering certainly looks good, coated in a thin layer of milk chocolate and sprinkled with cocoa soya crispies. A decent tasty protein bar. It has the texture of a fudgy protein bar, but it’s less sugary. It almost tastes like a sweet-salty protein bar. The white sprinkles all over the protein bar play the role of a crunchy factor. White chocolate almonds have the protein same as salty peanut and the other protein bars, and the only major difference is that it’s got 20 grams of carbs in a single serving, which is a little higher than the salty peanut barebells protein bar. Also, the thin strip of caramel hardly provides any real flavor. Uhg, I feel like I wasted money, but at the same time, I’m glad I finally just tried it out for myself.

Most plant-based protein bars use pea protein, rice protein, peanut protein, and soy protein instead of whey or other milk-based protein. However, you should know that plant-based protein bars are not as high as regular ones. Vegan protein bars have more calories, carbs, fat, and low protein than standard protein bars. Calcium caseinate, whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, glycerol, maltitol, collagen, polydextrose, soy protein isolate, cocoa butter, milk powder, water, sunflower oil, unsweetened chocolate, natural and artificial flavors, soy lecithin, sucralose. Sweetness– Not too sweet, but sweetened with sugar alcohols to the perfect level. A few of them have a good balance of salty & sweet. So, if you haven’t heard of Barebells, or have seen them and assumed they were called “barbells protein bars,” then you’re likely not alone!

But that is exactly what we have with Barebells protein bars. They are, hands down, my favorite protein bar on the market right now. It’s not an unpleasant bar by any means. It is good. The hazelnut flavour isn’t overpowering, but I think the sweetener make it taste somewhat artificial. I’d say it was the poor cousin of Fulfil’s Hazelnut Whip bar – obviously not as good but deserves some credit for trying. If you have dreams of Ferrero Rochers and/or Nutella, prepare to have your head ripped out of the clouds with this one. Salty Peanut (9/10) Very rarely does a product come along that I love unconditionally. Not to mention how rare it is to enjoy every flavor variation, too. With Hope's advise in mind, here's our round-up of eleven widely-sold bars, complete with tasting notes and nutritional info.

Enter the protein bar, a convenient way to get some extra protein in your diet when you're on the go. And then there’s the issue that if you promise dark chocolate, you should really deliver dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate – it’s rich is wonderful, and I don’t even mind the hint of bitterness. But this isn’t it. It’s too sweet and too faint a flavour. Plus, the chocolate coating is too thin for it to hold it’s own against the mint. The primary source of protein is whey protein isolate. We all know that whey protein is a high-quality protein with a faster absorption rate than other protein sources. This one looked almost exactly the same as the chocolate dough (from the outside.) It had the chocolate chunks on top and a milk chocolate coating. Like salty peanuts, white chocolate protein bars are also made with almost the same ingredients except for almonds.

Barebells No Added Sugar Protein Bar - Caramel Cashew (55g)

Soy protein, pea protein, rice protein, vegetable glycerol, polydextrose, maltitol, cocoa butter, oligofructose, unsweetened chocolate, hazelnuts, cocoa, tapioca starch, sunflower oil, natural and artificial flavors, soy lecithin, sucralose. Although the little white sprinkled spots look cute, they have no role in the taste or overall crunchiness of crunchy fudge, and I can’t find any part of putting any sprinkles all over it. Barebells bars are available in seven flavors. We have ranked five of these Barebells bars by their nutritional profile, ingredients, protein content, taste, and overall product offering. So here comes the list. 1. Barebells Salty Peanut Flavor Protein Bars Anyway, at time of writing, Barebells protein bars come in nine flavours, which you can skip to using the links below: In general, this is a decent protein bar. Barebells delivers with the macros on all their bars, and the texture is good. Flavour-wise it’s also pleasant, but there’s nothing overall amazing about this bar, not a lot to rant about. Certainly not disappointing, but certainly not astounding either. Coconut-Choco (4/10)

Barebells have two different plant-based protein bars; Hazelnut Nougat and Salty peanut vegan protein bars. All the flavors look basically the same: a thin coating of milk chocolate and some sort of chunks on top (in this case, chocolate chunks.) I really like the cashew pieces on this one – they add some crunch and are a refreshing change from the crispies you find on pretty much every protein bar these days. It’s quite simple in its execution, but this bar nevertheless has an essence of luxe. Definitely not as good as the Salty Peanut, but it’s up there with Barebells’ bests. Mint Dark Chocolate (6/10)

Barebells was launched in 2016 to brighten and shake things up in the protein bar category.

The texture is smooth, softer, and crunchy(due to peanuts). The filling of caramel cream gives it an excellent fudgy chewing experience. Its sour, sweet texture makes it a perfect protein bar for those who don’t like to eat too sweet protein bars. There are hundreds of protein bar brands available in the market, and every year or two, more and more businesses are hopping into the company with their products. Barebells is one such product that has been making a lot of buzz since the last year. What sets Barebells apart is their candy bar-like texture. If you’re used to dense & chewy protein bars, Barebells will completely change the way you view protein bars.
