About this deal

The mesh design on the front, top and side panels of the O11 AIR MINI have been optimized to allow maximum airflow from different sides of the case to the temperatures stable and low. The super fine mesh also acts as dust filter to avoid dust buildup inside the case. Unlike the case, Lian Li does not rely on aluminum for the frame. Instead, the manufacturer uses steel here. This benefits the stability of the case. All in all, the case makes a very good impression. Especially the workmanship leaves nothing to be desired.

Furthermore, you can install a standard ATX mainboard in the main chamber and place a tower cooler with a height of up to 170 mm on it. Furthermore, you can install graphics cards that have a maximum length of 362 millimeters. The numbers definitely impressed us. The VGA-Vertical Top Mode gives more clearance for fan installation in the bottom, with 60mm total clearance. With an ATX motherboard only 240mm radiators can be installed in the bottom. Dual Chamber Design for Cable Management The dual-chamber design behind the motherboard tray made cable management a simple job. The 7 Slot Mode has space for up to ATX motherboards. This mode will reduce radiator support – removing support for a top radiator when using any size motherboard. When using an ATX motherboard, the bottom radiator can only be 240mm, but with ITX and M-ATX you can install up to a 280mm radiator. Clearance for High-Performance CPU Cooler and ATX PSU Although O11 Air Mini is a compact case, it provides up to 167mm height CPU clearance, allowing users to mount their performance CPU cooler in the system.

O11 Air Mini: Verdict UK

The power supply is mounted in the Lian Li O11 Air Mini as usual with four screws. Well thought-out by Lian Li: The power supply is slightly elevated and does not rest on the floor. This gives you the opportunity to neatly run cables underneath and thus reach the lower slots on the motherboard. Similar openings are also found on the upper edge. In the HDD/SSD case, the disks can be stored in two holders with the included screws. Once screwed tight, they can be put into the case. Practical test To put this case through its cooling paces we will be using a test system consisting of an Intel Core i9-11900K, Palit RTX 3080 10GB and an SSD. This system allows us to produce a substantial amount of heat and effectively test the Lian Li O11 Air Mini‘s cooling capabilities. The 5 Slot Mode is ideal for ITX and M-ATX motherboards and allows up to 280mm radiators to be installed at the top. If using a M-ATX motherboard, the bottom radiator can only be 240mm, but with ITX you can install up to a 280mm radiator. The O11 AIR MINI also accommodates AIO watercooling with enough installation space for 240mm or 280mm radiators on the top, side and bottom. The O11 AIR MINI is ideal for air cooling builds, as it has enough clearance for up to 170mm for larger tower coolers.

Great case, enabling a very powerful system to be installed in a form factor that doesn't take over your desk. To test the functionality of the case, we installed some hardware components. We used the following components for this purpose: Constructed of steel instead of aluminium, the O11 Air Mini no longer retains the initial focus on ITX builds, evident in the case's larger footprint. The undesirable feature of the unattractive bottom air filter is unfortunately still here. Despite these changes, the case has kept its cost reasonable, while its size remains relatively compact for an ATX case. A sophisticated profile is crafted through the steel mesh panel at the front, a change from the lively look of the Lian Li O11D Dynamic Mini’s glass side and front panel. However, the see-through side panel and the aluminium trim accent at the front remain. Configuration Options

Inside, as already mentioned, the well-known and proven two-chamber system is used. Here, the two chambers are separated by a wall that forms a “step”. In this step you can install a 240 mm radiator. In the bend of the partition are two openings, which are provided with gray rubber lips. Cables can be cleverly passed through here without opening the view into the second rear chamber. If time is saved on perfect cable management, this still keeps things looking tidy in the visible main chamber. Furthermore, the Lian Li O11 Air Mini rear panel is modular. It is possible to reduce the 7-slot rear to 5 slots and to move the mainboard opening downwards. A matching bezel is included in the scope of delivery. Thus, the possibility for a radiator in the lid can be created. It should be noted, however, that this does not work with an ATX mainboard, as this requires the full height. However, if you have a Micro-ATX mainboard, you have all options open here.

Small tower with big airflow, the O11 AIR MINI provides modular design for ATX, M-ATX or ITX motherboards. Being all about the air, O11 AIR MINI has a spacious interior to accommodate multiple confirgurations of fan and radiator setups to maximize the airflow. The O11 AIR MINI comes with 2 x 140mm PWM front fans and 1 x 120mm PWM rear fan pre-installed straight out of the box. Get your system up and running faster with ease.

Lian Li O11 Air Mini supports a motherboard up to E-ATX, however it is much more interesting when you work with a smaller Micro-ATX as that allows you to open up the top of the case for cooling hardware. You will have noted the floor of the case is completely empty and could easily accommodate a second radiator so our key message is that Lian Li and Der8auer have come up with a clever design that gives you plenty of options. By now, you’ve probably gathered that the O11D Mini and the new O11 Air Mini are almost entirely different cases. They’re based on the same base principles, but externally and internally they are surprisingly different.
