It does have a strong element of mental health in parts, which was portrayed excellently and sensitively. For too long we have been protecting the ones who have hurt us by minimizing our trauma and deprivation. Considering what the main character - Thea - was accused of, it was so easy to feel sympathy for her.Many of these characters wouldn't have known how to tell the truth even if their lives depended on it.
