Just thinking I could measure the output with my meter to see if it is actually charging and it's my batteries that are dead. I have had the same with camera batteries, where one battery has refused to charge, where others seem OK and have put to one side then tried again a few weeks latter and it has charged. I am of the opinion that it must be the charger that is faulty (C1820A002) as I don't think both batteries would pack in at the same time.
My experience with them is that they mostly last forever, but don't stand up well to being bumped around when they are hot (at least the couple of times i've replaced one that seemed to be the case).
