Venomous snakes, of the reptilian and human variety, abound in Peter James’s terrifying thriller, Love You Dead. The third killer, though inactive in this novel, is one of Roy Grace’ evasive serial killers from a previous novel. He is told that his first wife, Sandy, is still alive but she is lying in a coma in a Munich hospital. James explains that there are still many hoops to jump through and that there aren’t any set dates for production. Dead Letter Drop follows a British agent named Max Flynn who finds out he is meant to go undercover to spy on his comrades.

As Grace shows up on the scene, it’s clear that the family does not care so much about the valuables so much as one valuable in particular. As the first Roy Grace novel that I have read, I am interested in reading what events led Roy Grace to his current lifestyle, professional attainment and predicaments in the first eleven novels in this series! James is producing with James Simpson with Daniel Eckhart bringing the detective’s story to the big screen. DI Glenn Branson (one of my favourite characters) and his new girlfriend are in the background, but old-school cop DS Norman Potting, grieving for the death of his fiancée Bella, has a key role to play in this book. From the perspective of someone who is not familiar with Peter James’ previous novels, I can say that at first, I thought the novel started off slow.Jodie is obsessed with her collection of venomous creatures, which include snakes, frogs, spiders, and scorpions.

The stage play of Wish You Were Dead follows DSI Roy Grace and Cleo Morey as they take a much needed holiday together. Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is brought on to the case and grows suspicious when the one friend who wasn’t out celebrating refuses to collaborate on the case.Synonymous with plot-twisting page-turners, Peter has garnered an army of loyal fans throughout his storytelling career - which also included stints writing for TV and producing films.

One of James’s strengths is his matter-of-fact, no-frills narrative (not surprising, given his movie background) and the way he presents his characters as people you can imagine encountering at work or in the pub. Assuming the television show is still on the air; James will be creating new stories and adventures to share with the audience.Furthermore he messed up in his last case and now has a supervisor on his every move and risks getting transferred.

In addition to Corpse Grinders, Peter James has also produced such movies as Under Milk Wood, Dead of Night, Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things, Spanish Fly, Jericho Mansions, Head in the Clouds, and The Bridge of San Luis Rey. It made the plot intriguing but some may feel this may have overshadowed the novel but I think the intensity of that darkness gave another dimension to the book that added authenticity to the getting into the head of this character. His novels, which include the bestselling Roy Grace series, have been translated into 36 languages, with worldwide sales of 17 million copies. Got hooked after reading Dead Like You,then went back to read previous books and now waiting to read the latest.

What starts out as an innocent, lively night of celebrating out with his guy friends turns potentially serious as Michael finds himself enclosed in a coffin with only a few things to get by. Grace has his own belief system in ghosts and things that go bump in the night, and he brings that into his cases.
